Profile
Jon joins the Ledbetter Law Firm, after having clerked for the Firm in 2010.
During law school, Jon was on the Dean's list and a teaching assistant for the Dean of the Legal Writing Department. He also received recognitions for excellence in legal writing. In Jon's first summer of law school, he clerked for Governor Jan Brewer's office of general counsel and assisted in the governor's suit against the legislature over the budget bills. He was also the team leader of the law school's Ninth Circuit Pro Bono Appellate Program where he argued a case in front of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Jon volunteered his time for numerous organizations and was President of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, Tucson Student Chapter. In his last year, Jon received the University of Arizona Foundation award for outstanding performance as a graduating senior.
Personal Background
Jon was raised in Mesa, Arizona as the oldest of seven children. His love of the outdoors has brought him to Cottonwood. In his free time he likes to hike, fish, and play sports. Jon also enjoys volunteering his time as scoutmaster, advisor to the MUHS speech and Debate Club, and at the Old Town Mission Legal Clinic. His most cherished time, however, is spent with his beautiful wife and two daughters.
